Week of 11/24

During the two and a half days we attend school this week, students will continue working on their Cafeteria survey. In groups, they will duplicate one of their graphs on chart paper to display in the high school hallway and cafeteria. Please take a minute to go by and look at the information.

This last week, students used Microsoft Excel to create frequency tables, pie graphs, column graphs, and line graphs. They were able to learn the different features that Excel has to offer so that they may be able to use this program in other aspects of their life.

Week of 11/17

Monday--Began working on Cafeteria Survey--Students will create a frequency table using Excel.

Tuesday--Continue working on the Cafeteria Survey--Students will find the measures of central tendency and range. They will also create a bar graph, line graph, and circle graph using technology.

Wednesday--Continue working on the Cafeteria Survey project--It will be due December 3, 2008.

Thursday--Students will work as a group to duplicate one of their graphs on chart paper. These charts will be hung up in the cafeteria for all to view.

Friday--Continue working on project

Monday--Chapter 10-3 Data Distributions--Mean, median, mode, and range--outliers--determine which measure of central tendency best describes the data set--no homework

Tuesday--Chapter 10-3 Data Distributions--Box-and-whisker plots--p. 697 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, 20, 23, 26, 29, 30, 39-43, 54--Use Technology to make graphs p. 700-701

Wednesday--Possibly continue with the technology--Begin Cafeteria Survey project

Thursday--continue working on Cafeteria Survey project

Friday--Continue working on Cafeteria Survey project

Monday--Begin Chapter 10 Section 1--Organizing and displaying data--Assignment 17-33 all

Tuesday--Grade 10.1, Begin 10.2--

Wednesday--Pass Party--Grade 10.2 and start review

Thursday--review 10.1 and 10.2

Friday--Test over 10.1 and 10.2
