1-1 Variables and Expressions

We continued discussing indicator words for addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. We translated words into algebraic expressions. The students are working on writing situations given an algebraic expression. This must be completed at home if they did not complete it in class. The book assignment for 1-1 is pages 9-11, 17-31, 33-34, 38, 40-42, 48-50, 56-64 (even). This will be due on 8/29/08.

1-1 Variables and Expressions

Today, we learned about variables, constants, and numerical and algebraic expressions. We are in the process of writing indicator words for the four operations--addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. We will continue this tomorrow and work on the assignment.
